Truck Drivers – Lodi, WI

Immediate openings exist for regular full-time Truck Drivers operating from our Lodi, Wisconsin facility. Drivers will be responsible for delivery of bag/bulk livestock feed directly to customers and branch plants and make backhauls as required by combination vehicle and straight trucks. Candidates must possess & maintain a valid class A or B CDL; have a record of safe and efficient commercial truck driving experience; the ability to operate a 2,000 lb. electric pallet jack; possess solid math skills; and have obtained a high school diploma or equivalent. Agricultural background is a plus. We haul our own products out of our company facilities. Drivers are paid hourly and return home most nights.

Feed Production/Warehouse Operators – 1st, 2nd & 3rd Shifts – Lodi, WI

Furst-McNess Company is seeking dynamic and assertive individuals for the positions of Feed Production/Warehouse Operator for our 1st, 2nd, & 3rd shifts.  These individuals will be responsible for responsible for manufacturing and packaging product adhering to standard operating procedures (SOP) and other regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure a safe working environment by having unsafe conditions corrected immediately.  Has knowledge of and observe all Occupational Safety and Health Administration (“OSHA”) regulations.
  • Report any required equipment maintenance to supervisor and assist in repair as requested.
  • Formulate schedules with supervisor for routine building and grounds maintenance, preventative equipment maintenance, and ensures work is completed in a timely manner.
  • Perform maintenance and repairs as directed.
  • Ability to operate a forklift, skid steer, and pay loader equipment in the movement of materials and charge mixing equipment.
  • Operate batching, mixing and liquid systems as required.
  • Keep work areas clean and tidy.
  • Perform all duties in accordance with company Standard Operating Procedures (“SOP”s).
  • Communicate raw material needs to supervisor, keeping ingredients at appropriate stock levels.
  • Effectively and efficiently, collect and communicate customer’s and sales staff’s delivery expectations, to the proper individuals.
  • Perform other work-related duties as requested or required.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Be able to succeed within and adhere to the culture of the Furst-McNess Company.
  • Ability to perform essential job functions with or without accommodation.
  • Ability to read, write and speak English, and perform basic mathematical calculations.
  • Education equivalent to high school diploma.
  • Ability to ascend ladders and various heights using stairs, elevated walkways and/or elevators.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, pull and/or stoop up to 70 lbs. of material on a regular or continuous basis.
  • Ability to maneuver heavy loads (up to 2,000 lbs. pallets) with a pallet jack; safely operate all equipment along with being a certified forklift operator.
  • Ability to perform cleaning operations while exposed to dusty environment, and ability to wear/use all appropriate protective equipment.
  • Ability to learn and comply with GMP and regulatory requirements imposed on manufacturing facilities by the FDA, OSHA, and EPA in regard to manufacturing products.
  • Good communication skills, both oral and written, and can utilize these skills within all levels of the Company as well as externally.
  • Respect other peoples’ points of view and able to take constructive criticism.
  • Ability to provide outstanding customer service.
  • Ability to effectively organize and manage multiple assignments.
  • Ability to work as an effective team member with the Company.
  • Ability to be flexible and make changes that enhance our ability to serve customers more effectively.
