Truck Driver – Seneca, WI

An immediate opening exists for a regular full-time Truck Driver operating from Arcadia, Wisconsin facility. Driver will be responsible for delivery of bulk and bagged livestock feed directly to customers and branch plants and make backhauls as required. Tractor trailers and straight trucks are both utilized.

Requirements:

  • Must possess & maintain a valid class A or B CDL
  • Have a clean MVR
  • A minimum of 2 years commercial truck driving experience
  • Ability to lift 50 lb. bags
  • Ability to operate a 2,000 lb. electric pallet jack
  • Possess solid math skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Agricultural background is a plus

 

We haul our own products out of our company facilities. Drivers are paid hourly and return home each night.

Credit Analyst – Rockford, IL

The ideal candidate will be an individual with credit experience in the animal feed industry and has a passion for working directly with customers on financing solutions. The position under general supervision will assist in administering all credit and collection functions.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in overseeing the processing of credit applications using financial and trade references, credit bureau reports and other resources. Help ensure that credit applications are received on new accounts and maintain customer credit files.
  • Help ensure credit holds are resolved in a timely manner, subject to credit policy.
  • Oversee inquiries regarding payments, balances, credit references, cash discount and sales tax. Oversee the reconciliation of customer accounts as necessary.
  • Review credit lines on a routine basis and revise accordingly. Maintain current credit information.
  • Review account aging on a daily basis and assist sales management and credit management in identifying problem accounts and determining a course of action. Ensure all credits are applied an open items are aged accurately.
  • Initiate termination of accounts determined to be uncollectable in the field. Send appropriate legal demand and initiate collection activity either internally or externally.
  • Assist in answering and responding to inquiries (phone calls and email) from sales staff and customers.
  • Prepare check requests for overpayments.
  • Prepare monthly credit report.
  • Prepare monthly bad debt reserve report.
  • Coordinate all Euler Hermes activity.
  • Process all payments received in the Corporate Office.
  • Provide support work on miscellaneous credit projects as needed.
  • Provide back up for Credit/Financial Analyst as needed or requested.
  • Perform other work-related duties as requested or required.

 

Qualifications:

  • Five or more years of credit experience.

Customer Service Coordinator II – Rockford, IL

Furst-McNess Company is looking for a dynamic and organized person to fill its opening for a Customer Service Coordinator II position in its Rockford, Illinois, office who will be responsible for providing customer service and sales support for customers, field sales staff, merchandising staff and supply contract vendors. This individual will be responsible for receiving and entering orders into the Company ERP system and other applicable systems as well as communicating the orders and delivery expectations to the responsible facility, trucking company, or internal staff. Coordination and distribution of commodities, co-products, and manufactured feeds within the region. Work with management and staff to establish export opportunities with affiliate companies and external customers.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide service and assistance to customers and field sales personnel to ensure orders are placed properly, orders are received by manufacturing facilities, and communicate the delivery times to customers and appropriate McNess staff.
  • In conjunction with the Logistics Manager and Customer Service Coordinators, develop supply points, logistics providers and transload centers, to build and document an export program to grow sales not only to our sister companies but also to outside customers.
  • Review customer orders and validate the information is accurate and appropriate volume discount exceptions are applied along with communicating with field sales personnel to obtain proper product discounts. Perform price maintenance to customer orders.
  • Enter and process bulk, custom and regular orders into SAP and communicate the order information to the facilities.
  • Work closely with the facilities, the technical services group, and supply chain management group on new product that is ordered and validate the product can be manufactured and is setup for purchase/sale in SAP.
  • Assist in the coordination and distribution of commodities, co-products, premix, and manufactured feeds for the Region.
  • Initiate regular customer contact, determine delivery requirements, new sales opportunities, and set up schedules accordingly. Coordinate customer contact with assigned field personnel.
  • Communicate with suppliers, mills, truckers, and railways as required, to ensure that each delivery arrives at the farm on schedule.
  • Maintain regular communication with supply sources that minimize the costs getting product to market.
  • Receive and record sales orders from customers and sales personnel.
  • When errors occur at any point in the ordering or delivery of product occurs, communicate with the customer, field sales staff, and appropriate internal staff to resolve the issue and meet the customer’s request.
  • Keep management informed of any recurring problems that need to be rectified and update with current supply/demand projections.
  • Responsible for inventory management of assigned contract supply points.
  • Assist with entering of daily purchases into system and communicate relevant information with staff.
  • Complete and mail sales and purchase contracts promptly.
  • Discuss credit hold problems with customers and field sales staff and direct them to the appropriate credit representative.
  • Confirm and process rebate agreements following company policy.
  • Provide support to other regional functions as required when colleagues are absent due to vacation or illness.
  • Participate in Company meetings in a sales and merchandising capacity as required.
  • Maintain contact with customers in relation to their existing and potential volume of business.
  • Keep a pulse on competitive activity and communicate appropriately within the group.
  • Participate in industry tradeshows and associations as is reasonable.
  • Submit required cycle reports, expense accounts, etc., as dictated by Company guidelines.
  • Perform other work-related tasks as requested or required.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Be able to succeed within and adhere to the culture of the Furst-McNess Company.

  • Education equivalent to an associate degree from an accredited college or equivalent work experience.

Feed Production/Warehouse Operators – 1st, 2nd & 3rd Shifts – Lodi, WI

Furst-McNess Company is seeking dynamic and assertive individuals for the positions of Feed Production/Warehouse Operator for our 1st, 2nd, & 3rd shifts.  These individuals will be responsible for responsible for manufacturing and packaging product adhering to standard operating procedures (SOP) and other regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure a safe working environment by having unsafe conditions corrected immediately.  Has knowledge of and observe all Occupational Safety and Health Administration (“OSHA”) regulations.
  • Report any required equipment maintenance to supervisor and assist in repair as requested.
  • Formulate schedules with supervisor for routine building and grounds maintenance, preventative equipment maintenance, and ensures work is completed in a timely manner.
  • Perform maintenance and repairs as directed.
  • Ability to operate a forklift, skid steer, and pay loader equipment in the movement of materials and charge mixing equipment.
  • Operate batching, mixing and liquid systems as required.
  • Keep work areas clean and tidy.
  • Perform all duties in accordance with company Standard Operating Procedures (“SOP”s).
  • Communicate raw material needs to supervisor, keeping ingredients at appropriate stock levels.
  • Effectively and efficiently, collect and communicate customer’s and sales staff’s delivery expectations, to the proper individuals.
  • Perform other work-related duties as requested or required.

Minimum Qualifications:
