Sr. SAP Programmer Analyst – Rockford, IL

Furst-McNess Company is looking for a vibrant and self-motivated person to fill its opening for a Sr. SAP Programmer Analyst in its Rockford, Illinois, facility.  This position will be responsible for tacking some of our toughest challenges and drive technical excellence in our SAP S4HANA platform.  This individual will work with our Business Process Owners (BPOs) and IT staff to ensure that our processes are continually improved, and our development is delivered with high quality and reliability.

Responsibilities:                                                  

  • Partner with our Business process owners to enhance our SAP platform with a focus on finance and manufacturing areas.
  • Partner with our IT leader to execute and deliver on projects and their ROI.
  • Create Functional Specs for system references (RICEF) for our programmers
  • Understand ABAP program changes being made by the developers to ensure they meet the requirements.
  • Partner with our IT leader and BPOs to deploy our SAP platform / processes to new acquisitions
  • Troubleshoot issues the users may have (including review of configuration and code when necessary)
  • Configure and/or make routine ABAP program changes as required.   This will include unit testing and migrating of the transports thru the SAP landscape.    Note: additional programmers will handle complex programming at your guidance thru functional specifications.
  • Perform other work-related duties as requested or required.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Be able to succeed within the culture of the Furst-McNess Company.
  • Ability to perform essential job functions with or without accommodation.
  • Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in SAP business applications & programming and 3 years’ experience in finance and manufacturing (S4 HANA preferred) or the equivalent in work-related experience.
  • Agricultural background is a plus.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written and is capable of utilizing these skills within all levels of the Company as well as externally.
  • Must be able to use expertise to analyze and understand business process issues.
  • Friendly and collaborative interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to effectively organize work schedules and manage multiple assignments.
  • Ability to work as an effective team member.
  • Ability to be flexible and execute duties not specifically identified in the job description for the overall good of the department and company.
  • Respect other peoples’ points of view and able to take constructive criticism.
  • Ability to travel, including overnight stays, as business dictates.  Must, at all times, possess a valid driver’s license and maintain a good driving record (within guidelines set forth in company vehicle policy).

Feed Production/Warehouse Operators – 1st, 2nd & 3rd Shifts – Lodi, WI

Furst-McNess Company is seeking dynamic and assertive individuals for the positions of Feed Production/Warehouse Operator for our 1st, 2nd, & 3rd shifts.  These individuals will be responsible for responsible for manufacturing and packaging product adhering to standard operating procedures (SOP) and other regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure a safe working environment by having unsafe conditions corrected immediately.  Has knowledge of and observe all Occupational Safety and Health Administration (“OSHA”) regulations.
  • Report any required equipment maintenance to supervisor and assist in repair as requested.
  • Formulate schedules with supervisor for routine building and grounds maintenance, preventative equipment maintenance, and ensures work is completed in a timely manner.
  • Perform maintenance and repairs as directed.
  • Ability to operate a forklift, skid steer, and pay loader equipment in the movement of materials and charge mixing equipment.
  • Operate batching, mixing and liquid systems as required.
  • Keep work areas clean and tidy.
  • Perform all duties in accordance with company Standard Operating Procedures (“SOP”s).
  • Communicate raw material needs to supervisor, keeping ingredients at appropriate stock levels.
  • Effectively and efficiently, collect and communicate customer’s and sales staff’s delivery expectations, to the proper individuals.
  • Perform other work-related duties as requested or required.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Education equivalent to high school diploma.
  • Ability to ascend ladders and various heights using stairs, elevated walkways and/or elevators.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, pull and/or stoop up to 70 lbs. of material on a regular or continuous basis.
  • Ability to maneuver heavy loads (up to 2,000 lbs. pallets) with a pallet jack; safely operate all equipment along with being a certified forklift operator.
  • Ability to perform cleaning operations while exposed to dusty environment, and ability to wear/use all appropriate protective equipment.
  • Ability to learn and comply with GMP and regulatory requirements imposed on manufacturing facilities by the FDA, OSHA, and EPA in regard to manufacturing products.
  • Good communication skills, both oral and written, and can utilize these skills within all levels of the Company as well as externally.
  • Respect other peoples’ points of view and able to take constructive criticism.
  • Ability to provide outstanding customer service.
  • Ability to effectively organize and manage multiple assignments.

Truck Drivers – Lodi, WI

Immediate openings exist for regular full-time Truck Drivers operating from our Lodi, Wisconsin facility. Drivers will be responsible for delivery of bag/bulk livestock feed directly to customers and branch plants and make backhauls as required by combination vehicle and straight trucks. Candidates must possess & maintain a valid class A or B CDL; have a record of safe and efficient commercial truck driving experience; the ability to operate a 2,000 lb. electric pallet jack; possess solid math skills; and have obtained a high school diploma or equivalent. Agricultural background is a plus. We haul our own products out of our company facilities. Drivers are paid hourly and return home most nights.
