Begin feeding Bova-Breeder minerals two months before stress periods such as calving or breeding.
Average daily consumption should be 2 to 2.7 ounces per head, per day.
Place in a clean dry feeder near a feed or water source.
No more than a 7 to 10-day supply should be put out at one time. This will assure freshness and help maintain adequate consumption.
Provide one feeder per 15 to 20 head of animals.
Location of feeders is very important. If mineral consumption is too low, placing mineral feeders closer to heavily-traveled areas may improve consumption.
Consumption will vary with pasture conditions. Relocate or adjust mineral feeder numbers to either increase or decrease consumption as conditions dictate.
Do not feed to sheep or other copper-sensitive species.
