Feeding Programs for Today's Swine Breeding Herds
The goal of the McNess swine nutritional breeding programs is to produce large litters of uniform healthy pigs, while having the sows rebreed quickly to produce another litter, again and again and again.
The breeding herd responds to optimal mineral, vitamin and trace mineral nutrition by producing larger, heavier litters more often. McNess swine breeding herd products are formulated to provide these nutrients at optimal levels. All Furst-McNess Breeding products feature added Choline, Biotin, Folic Acid and Riboflavin along with high levels of Vitamin E to improve reproductive efficiency. Calcium, phosphorus and salt levels are maintained at optimal levels to maximize feed intakes and body mineral stores while minimizing losses during lactation.
While the minerals, vitamins and trace minerals provided in McNess Swine Breeding products are essential, they must be properly formulated into complete feeds to match the performance levels and feed intakes being achieved in an individual swine operation.

Sow 100 Premix:

A premix formulated to provide elevated nutrient levels for highly productive sows. Usage rate of 100 pounds per ton of complete sow feed.
Sow 100 Premix with Carnitine/Chromium

Chromium (4 ppm) added to improve reproductive efficiency by increasing pigs born alive and weaned per litter. Carnitine (454 mg/lb) added to improve reproductive efficiency by increasing pigs weaned per litter.
The following sow premixes provide the same vitamin and trace mineral fortification as the Sow 100 Premix on a complete feed basis with other added features:
Sow 90 Phytase

A sow premix containing the microbial phytase enzyme to improve digestion of phosphorus in corn and soybean meal. Available in a 45 pound bag with a 90 pound per ton inclusion rate.
Sow 84 Phytase-LY- 637200
A sow premix containing the microbial phytase enzyme to improve digestion of phosphorus in corn, soybean meal, and lysine for use with dried distillers grains (DDGS). Available in a 42 pound bag with an 84 pound per ton inclusion rate.
High Producer Plus Sow Premix

A premix formulated to provide elevated nutrient levels for highly productive sows. The HP Plus Sow Premix is especially well suited for use when feed intake may be low due to hot weather and in gilt herds. This product contains natural clay product to bind mycotoxins and Availa zinc, copper, and manganese for highly available trace minerals to enhance reproductive success. Available in a 55 pound bag with a 110 pound per ton inclusion rate.
High Producer Plus Fortifier

A fortifier to be used with a McNess Swine Grow/Finish Premix to provide elevated nutrient levels for highly productive sows. The HP Plus Fortifier contains natural clay product to bind mycotoxins and Availa zinc, copper, and manganese for highly available trace minerals to enhance reproductive success. Available in a 60 pound bag to be added with the chosen grow/finish product.
