In 1908, Frank Furst and Fredrick McNess founded the Furst-McNess Company in Freeport, Illinois.

Originally sold door-to-door from horse driven carriages, McNess has been delivering these high quality home products to four generations of cooks. You may not remember these products, but it is our guess that your mother or grandmother will.

In 2000, two sisters who started Terrapin Ridge gourmet foods brand, Martha and Susan Furst, great granddaughters of one of the founders, decided to share some of these great products from their family's original business with you.

The same delicious and comforting food products that were around in the 30's are now available today.

Some people call this Retro, we call it authentic.
