Terrapin Ridge is the speciality foods brand of parent Furst-McNess Company. McNess started in 1908, originally provided horse and buggy delivery of their quality household and kitchen products to rural America. Ninety years and four generations later, Terrapin Ridge was started.

Terrapin Ridge is an actual place in Northwest Illinois. It was named by the Native Americans who believed the terrain with it's scaling ridges looked like a turtle's shell.
