Calves
The McNess Maxi-Growth-24 Calf Raising Program utilizes sound nutrition and broad-spectrum medication to cut calf losses, encourage good health, maximize growth and reduce costs. The McNess Calf Program involves two basic products - milk replacer and calf starter.

Heifers
The McNess Maxi-Growth-24 Program continues with high quality products for heifers. Following the calf starter ration, at about 300 to 400 pounds, heifer calves are ready to start on a growing ration. Growing heifers fit into a 3-step feeding program. Step 1 will take heifers to breeding age. Step 2 is breeding age through two months prior to calving. Step 3 is two months prior to calving to freshening. Properly formulated rations for growing heifers will assure that the heifers will be of the proper weight and frame size to calve at 24 months of age.
