The McNess Beef Program is designed to provide vitamin and mineral nutrition to all groups of beef cattle. All products feature high quality ingredients, high levels of trace minerals, high levels of vitamins, calcium, and phosphorus and a guaranteed tag.

Starter
Beef Starter Premixes - 5501-00 & 5501-20 Two Starter premixes are available for incoming calves. Product 5501-00 contains no medication, while product 5501-20 contains Deccox for the control of coccidiosis. Starting cattle are often stressed; therefore unable to produce adequate levels of the B-Vitamins or Vitamin K. Beef Starter provides the additional vitamins necessary to meet the needs of these cattle. In addition, Beef Starter contains Zinpro’s Availa 4, yeast culture and additional amounts of Vitamin E and potassium. Together these ingredients provide for increased foot and tissue health, enhanced immune response, reduced dehydration problems, increased feed intake and restoration of rumen function.

Stress Pak
Beef Stress Pak - 5501-99 Beef Stress Pak is formulated to supplement the Developer products for calves under stress. The addition of this product to the Developer premixes at a rate of .10 - .20 pounds per head per day will provide a product very similar to the Beef Starter products. The Stress Pak contains the same product additives as the Starters – Availa 4, yeast culture, microbials, extra Vitamins E & B and extra Potassium. This product may also be added to the Feedlot or Balancer products if the cattle require extra nutrients.

Developer
Beef Developer Premixes - 5511-00, 5511-30, 5511-40, 5511-50 - Four Developer premixes are available for calves weighing less than 600 pounds. These premixes provide the extra vitamins and minerals needed by lightweight calves to help develop strong frames. A good natural source of protein, such as soybean meal or extruded soy meal, should be used to meet the protein needs of this rapidly growing calf. This product is available with or without medication. Medication choices include Gainpro, Rumensin and Bovatec.

Feedlot
Beef Feedlot Premixes - 5531-00, 5531-40, 5531-50, 5531-90 When natural protein sources are available, Beef Feedlot is the ideal premix to be added to the ration. The Beef Feedlot premixes are flexible products that can be used with any forage/grain combination to supply the vitamins and minerals that finishing cattle need. These products are available with or without medication. Medication choices are Rumensin, Bovatec and Bovatec/MGA. There is no need for supplemental salt.

Beef Corn Gluten Fortifier - B 5518 Gluten Fortifier is the ideal product to meet the needs of finishing cattle consuming rations with substantial amounts of corn gluten or other high phosphorus feeds. There is no supplemental phosphorus added to this premix. The Gluten Fortifier contains the B Vitamin Thiamine to replace the thiamine destroyed in the corn gluten milling process.

Balancer Protein Products
Beef Balancer 80 5541-00, 5541-40, 5541-50, 5541-90 Beef Balancer is the product of choice when cattle are receiving high grain rations that require supplemental protein. This product combines premix, urea and bypass protein for the ease of feeding a single product to achieve maximum results. Added bypass protein helps to maximize growth when animals are being fed urea. The protein level from urea and bypass protein sources is 80% crude protein. This product is available medicated or nonmedicated. Medication options include Rumensin, Bovatec and Bovatec/MGA.

Beef Balancer 60 B 5551-50 The Beef Balancer 60 is similar to the Beef Balancer 80’s, with the only significant difference being the crude protein at 60% versus 80%.

Beef Pellets 50-B AA5527 Beef Pellets 50-B is a pelleted combination of vitamins, minerals and protein sources. This product contains 50% crude protein from urea, soybean meal, wheat midds, animal protein and alfalfa. Approximately 29% of the protein are from urea and ammonium sulfate. These pellets contain Bovatec for improved feed efficiency.
